As parents, there is one question we find ourselves asking our children over and over again from the time they can first speak: "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

I asked my own kids that question dozens of times. We talk about the uniforms, the cool trucks, and the big buildings. But one day, it hit me that by constantly focusing on what they wanted to be, I was completely missing the most important part of the conversation. I wasn't asking them who they wanted to be.

A job title is just a wrapper. What actually matters is the character, the integrity, and the heart inside the person doing the work.

That realization was the spark for Barnaby’s Big Jobs.

I wanted to create a series that changed the conversation for families. By using a lovable, curious Beagle named Barnaby to explore the working world, these stories reframe everyday professions. It's not a series about career placement; it's a journey of self-discovery.

Through Barnaby’s Big Jobs, kids see that a veterinarian’s true power is compassion, a waiter's gift is providing courtesy and comfort, and a sanitation worker's mission is community care.

I built this series to give parents a tool to show their children that there are heroes hidden in every single corner of our world, and that no matter what uniform they wear when they grow up, the greatest thing they can ever be is kind, responsible, and helpful to others.
